Evening all,
We survived the Bears Cave! Hurrah!
Today we started the day in prayer as we joined to reflect and pray for the day ahead both for ourselves and for those we have left behind back at home.
After a hearty breakfast we headed off to see the famous bears cave. After the 2 1/2 hour drive we arrived and headed up the mountain to the entrance to the cave for our guided tour. Ema very kindly translated for us throughout! The cave is steeped in history with limestone stalactites, stalagmites and pools of clear water. On our tour we saw the remains of a bear, a space ship and granny’s house.
Once finished in the cave we headed back down the hill, past all the souvenir stools selling bear statues, breads, stones, toys and a whole range of other weird and wonderful things, for our much anticipated lunch.
Our trip back took us on a slightly more scenic route, winding through the mountains and beautiful Romanian countryside, that took around 4 hours!
On the way back we stopped off at a local supermarket. Abi could not contain her excitement at how cheap the supermarket was!! She’s still going on about it 3 hours later.
Tomorrow we are off to two churches to join in with worship and to share testimonies with the local communities. Matt will be talking on Phillipians 2:12-16.
Please do be praying for both Matt and those giving testimonies tomorrow (and the rest of us). We hope you have a fantastic morning in your streams back at home!
Until tomorrow!
Good night and God bless!
