Living Well Tonbridge

Living Well Tonbridge is a new community hub helping those who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable. Our goal is to open our church doors to everyone in our community. To be a warm and welcoming space that can offer friendship, fun and practical support to those who need it – all with a backdrop of great coffee and cake!

You can find out what’s happening at Living Well Tonbridge each week by visiting our calendar. Leading up to the Queen’s Jubilee we will also be hosting a number of fun preparation activities and craft events. You can find out more about these via our Jubilee activities page.

All are welcome!

We are building relationships with a number of other local agencies to deliver support and local groups to offer social activities, and we will bring you more news about this as we continue to grow.

Need Help?

FEAST FRESH Community Larder

Our Feast Fresh community larder at St Stephen’s Church currently opens on a Saturday morning between 10.30am and 12.00 noon. Here, families and individuals on low incomes are able to access fresh produce and groceries to take home. We also serve refreshments for our Community Larder visitors. To find out more and to book to come to the larder, please visit the FEAST Fresh website.

Community Cafés

Our community cafés currently open from 10.00am to 12.00 noon at St Stephen’s from Monday to Saturday each week. Cafés are operated on a ‘pay as you can’ basis. There will be a suggested amount to pay for refreshments, but you can choose what you pay. So you might pay nothing at all, at the level suggested or more than this if you feel that you might like to contribute extra. All funds will be used in support of Living Well Tonbridge and those we help in our community.

Our Partners

We are currently working with a number of partners who deliver specialist support. These include Porchlight, West Kent Mind and others.

Porchlight

Porchlight are in church from 10am to 12 noon every Tuesday morning. Porchlight is Kent’s largest charity for homeless and vulnerable people, supporting those who have nowhere to go and no-one to turn to. Please drop in if you need to speak to Porchlight or encourage anyone to do so who might benefit from their help.

Other partners

Arrangements with other partners are currently in the later stages of planning and we will bring you news on these soon. You can find out what’s in place so far by visiting our calendar.

Volunteer with Us

None of the work we do would take place without the support of our dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteering is good fun, and a great way of making friends, learning new skills and increasing confidence. Full training is given, so if you feel you might like to volunteer for one of our community projects, please get in touch with Sarah Wilson at sarah.wilson@ststephens.org.uk or telephone 01732 771977.
