At St Stephen’s we’re “passionate to know God and to make God known”. That’s our vision, plain and simple, and it’s something we’re all aspiring to. We currently have five exciting vacancies on our staff team. So if you think you can help us as we move towards the next phase in our vision, we would love to hear from you.

Comms and Media Assistant (25hrs per week)

Do you love to inspire people using words, graphics, pictures or film? Then we’d love to hear from you! We have a great message to tell, so we’re looking for a great Comms and Media Assistant to help us spread the word. The role will be varied; from helping to broadcast our online services, to making films to highlight our work in the community, to designing brochures, to writing great copy for our website.

Assistant Church Administrator (10hrs per week)

As part of our Admin Team, you’ll assist in the provision of effective administration to serve the ministry and vision of St Stephen’s. In addition to having admin experience and able to meet deadlines, you will also be the first point of contact for visitors and callers to the church office, giving a warm welcome and support for both members of the public and of our church family when necessary.

Premises Manager (15hrs per week)

Our buildings are crucial when it comes to us serving our local community. And in this role, you would play a huge part in keeping our buildings in top condition. You will have proven maintenance skills, plus experience of supervising others, as well as knowledge of health and safety regulations. And you’ll have a pleasant, polite and helpful manner when working alongside volunteers and dealing with visitors and members of our church family.

Caretaker (30hrs per week)

Working alongside our new Premises Manager, you’ll support the vision and ministry of the church by helping to ensure that all our buildings are well maintained. You’ll bring some proven maintenance skills, and the ability to set up for the various functions and ministries which take place.

Community Engagement Lead (21hrs per week)

Are you the person to lead and develop our work in the community, especially to the vulnerable, isolated and disadvantaged, by pioneering our new community hub Living Well Tonbridge? You’ll come with a passion for improving the wellbeing of all, and also knowledge and proven experience of liaising with support agencies, as well as identifying and applying for grant funding.
