The team flew out on Thursday 1st October. Updates will appear here as often as they are able to send them. In the meantime, here is their itenerary for the first week.
Thursday 1st October. Depart from Heathrow at 8pm
Friday 2nd October. Dawn arrive at Nairobi and transfer to Dar es Salaam flight. Six hour drive to Kongwa via Morogoto. First night at St. Philips Theological College in Kongwa, Mpwapwa Diocese.
Saturday 3rd October. Visit the two Compassion projects in Matongoro.
Sunday 4th October. Attend church services and meet local leaders.
Monday 5th to Thursday 8th October. Visit communities with Tearfund, meeting local co-ordinators and facilitators. Visit projects and learn how CCMP is being applied. Return to St. Philips by the end of Thursday.
