Hi! We’d love to meet with you. So here are some ways you can connect with us…

COME ALONG (yes, in person!) TO OUR SERVICES:

We’re really excited to be restarting services at St Stephen’s. Service times are a little different to usual so please check before you arrive. Also, we’ll be following the Government and Church of England guidelines to help keep everyone safe (take a look at our Covid safety measures here). These mean the maximum number of people we can allow inside is lower than usual so you will need to book in advance (using the links below). Services coming up are:

Wednesday 21st October at 11am, Communion (book now here) *

Wednesday 28th October at 11am, Communion (book now here) *

Saturday 31st October at 4pm, Family Light Service (book now here)

Wednesday 4th November at 11am, Communion (booking not yet open) *

* If you are unable to attend in person, these services will also be available live on our Facebook page, and they will stay there so you can watch whenever you are able.

COMMUNITY LARDER (10.30am to 12.30pm each Saturday):

If you’re on low income or on benefits, we’d love to meet you at our Community Larder at St Eanswythe’s (58 Priory Road) each Saturday from 10.30am. Fresh produce will be available to take home and we only ask for a small donation (£2 is ideal).

We’re allocating timeslots to help us with social distancing so you MUST book in advance. To book please click here. Please arrive as close as possible to your time slot and wait outside, until our volunteer on the door asks you to come in.

CHILDREN’S VIDEOS (9.30am each Sunday):

At 9.30am every Sunday our Children’s Team post a video on our YouTube channel for the younger members of our church family. Watch and join in the stories, singing, games and crafts!

LIVESTREAM SERVICE (10.30am each Sunday):

You’re really welcome to join us online as we worship together via our online service live from St Stephen’s each Sunday at 10.30am. This is a time when we worship, study the Bible and pray together. Unfortunately we’re not able to have anyone else in the building for this service yet, but you can join in live via our YouTube channel. When the livestream has finished it will stay on the channel from then on so you can watch it any time (if you are able, please subscribe to the channel to ensure you don’t miss anything).

CHURCH FAMILY COFFEE (approx. 11.15am each Sunday):

As our livestream service finishes each Sunday morning (at approx. 11.15am) we head to Zoom to catch up with each other. This is for our church family only, and we send the link out every Friday. If you’re new to St Stephen’s and consider yourself part of our church family (or would like to) and would like to receive the Zoom link each week please get in contact with us (details at the bottom of this page).

LISTEN TO OUR SERVICE ON YOUR PHONE (approx. 6pm each Sunday):

You can now listen to our weekly service on your phone. Call 01732 927750 any time of the day or night to hear the service. Services will be available from approx. 6pm each Sunday until the following Sunday. Calls cost the same as other calls to an 01732 number.

At 9am every weekday you can join us for a Bible reading and a time of reflection on Facebook Live. These are mostly done by our vicar Mark, our Associate Ministers Craig and Jess, our Curate Caz, or our Pastoral Assistant Edith.

CONNECT GROUPS (various days):

Our Connect Groups are small groups within the larger St Stephen’s church family. Lots of our Connect Groups are finding different ways to meet during the shutdown. It’s a brilliant way of staying connected and looking out for one another. If you are part of our church family and would like to join a Connect Group please get in contact with us.

ZOOM PRAYERS (10am each Tuesday):

Every week we host ‘Zoom Prayers’ (what a great name!), an online prayer meeting on Zoom. Prayer is simply having a conversation with God; we start with a verse of scripture and praise, then pray through one thing to another, before listening to what God may wish to share with us. The link for this goes out to our church family each week.

So please do join us where you feel able. And if you want some support or want someone to talk to, please get in contact (details at the bottom of this page).
