This summer our 10.30am services will have a café style; set around tables, they will be informal, all age services, with space for worship, discussion and creativity.

What to expect?

The church will be set out with café-style tables and chairs so come with family and friends and sit at a table together, or come on your own and join another table. We’ll be serving coffee and pastries from 9.45am until 10.20am so we recommend arriving early.

At 10.30am the service will begin, lasting approx. one hour. Staying in groups around tables, we’ll use music to worship together, we’ll pray, discuss questions, and hear Bible teaching. There will also be opportunities to join in hands-on activities and games.

The service will finish at approx. 11.30am but you’re welcome to stay longer as our coffee bar will reopen after the service.

I have children. What about them?

With worship, interactive prayer, hands-on activities, etc, these services are deliberately aimed at all ages.

Teenagers are welcome to sit on tables with their friends so they can join in together. We recommend younger children sit with their parents/carers so they are able to help them participate in the service.

What if I don’t want to join in?

The services will be led from the front, but there will be lots of opportunities to interact with people on your table such as praying together, discussing together, etc. But if you’d rather not do that we’ll also have a quiet space within the church where people can still follow the service, but in a more solitary and reflective way.

When is this happening?

These services will be at St Stephen’s Church, starting at 10.30am every Sunday from Sunday 28th July to Sunday 25th August.
